Bios :
An independent management and technology practice. We offer a unique balance of management and computer consultancy. We only provide advice and do not sell any products, except those produced by us for our clients. We specialise in four distinct areas: strategy development, systems engineering, networking and software development.
Strategy Development :
Our clients rely on us to provide policy support and technical advice on all aspects of Information Technology. This includes the development of asset management strategy and its impact upon business operations including the wider environment, all stages of project and programme delivery and driving continuous improvement through sustainable operations, assets and facilities management.
Systems Engineering :
We consider Systems Engineering to cover work on both servers and workstations; and we define it as including installation, configuration and maintenance.
We have technical expertise in the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems and their various server and workstation products such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, ISA Server and the Microsoft Office range of products. Along side industrial strength Commercial and Open Source products Apache Tomcat, MySQL, Postgre SQL, PHP, AJAX and Oracle.
Network Engineering :
Networking is the glue that holds much of the modern enterprise together and links it with its customers and suppliers.
We have been using networking technologies since the late 1980s so we have considerable experience in using the TCP/IP protocol suite.
There is considerable benefit to organisations in connecting their offices and remote staff together. It improves internal communication and helps businesses to respond more rapidly to changes in the competitive environment.
Software Development :
We involve clients in the review process fine tuning whilst developing systems. We don't advocate the black box approach; acting as system architect, programmer, web designer or developer we keep the client informed with a proactive approach to achieving the best solution and completing the project.
Do you need someone to build your application or web site? If you do not have any in-house development expertise, we can supply it so you can compete with bigger competitors. One World - Innovative Technology promotes positive environmental, human rights and animal welfare policies. Our own ‘operational’ environmental policy aims to reduce our production impact to an absolute minimum. For example all of our paper is either FSC approved, sustainable or recycled. We use low-energy light bulbs wherever possible. We only buy office technology machines with the latest energy efficiency standards (TCO minimum) and from brands which do not have records of environmental devastation or other environmental criticisms. We arrange the re-use and/or re-cycling of our redundant IT equipment; it is company policy to switch all machines and lights fully off when they are not in use.

ACAP
ACAP (Automated Content Access Protocol) is a new non-commercial, open, global protocol devised by the worldwide publishing community that provides content providers with the necessary tool to enable them to communicate their copyright terms and conditions online in a language that can be read, understood and interpreted by the machines that crawl and index their content. Put simply, ACAP enables the copyright terms, conditions and permissions that would be read by a human in the offline environment to be read and unambiguously interpreted by the machines that replace the human in the online environment.
